The Gomel chapter of BYWCA  promotes social, economic, cultural, religious and political rights of women and has been at the forefront of raising the status of women in Belarus since it was founded in 1997 

Our priorities include:

• Helping people affected by the Chernobyl disaster

• Developing  leadership qualities in women

• Promoting  gender equality

• Preventing domestic violence

• Assisting with the social adaptation of women 

• Providing assistance for women looking for jobs

• Organizing business trainings for women

• Preventing trafficking of Belarusian citizens abroad

• Assisting  victims of human trafficking

• Promoting healthy lifestyles of young people
